The most important rule for the POPS room is keeping what is said in the room, in the room. The only exception is if there is a danger of harm to self or other or information related regarding unauthorized or illegal activities in and out of school.
Visitor and Workers can discuss the details of their visit ONLY with POPS Co-Advisors, Mrs Bahrke and Mrs. Bayda, or parents.
Below is what a person CAN say if they work or visit the room:
* Did you visit or work the POPS room today? Acceptable Answer : It's best for me not to reveal that, we need to respect confidentiality of all members
You can admit you went to the room but you cannot reveal who else was there.
* What happened when you went to the POPS room? Acceptable Answer: We can't discuss what was discussed.
You can reveal how you felt about how things went, good, nice process, we have to agree to rules, but you can't reveal any details.
Confidentiality CAN'Ts
*Revealing WHO visited or worked the room.
*Revealing WHO requested the visit.
*Revealing WHAT what was said during the visit.
If you are aware that someone has broken the rules of confidentiality, please fill out the Broken Confidentiality Form. This form when submitted is emailed to Mrs. Bahrke's confidential email. Depending on the situation, Mrs. Bahrke may call down those who broke confidentiality or the reporter to learn more about the details. School consequences may be given.
